If I had to make a list of my 10 favorite albums of all time, Jellyfish's Spilt Milk would be on that list. Today marks the 25th anniversary of its release and I can honestly say, I feel this is one of the best albums ever made that most people have never heard. Unfortunately, Jellyfish only released two albums before breaking up and I didn't discover the band until around 2002. I've listened to this album hundreds of times since discovering it and I love it as much today as the first time I heard it. Jellyfish should have been one of the biggest bands on the planet when they came out, but they came out during the grunge era and people just weren't interested in power-pop at that time. You may be wondering what this album sounds like and the best review I can give you is this: Imagine Lennon and McCartney writing an album with Brian Wilson; that is this album.
